DeepSeek's open-source agent app Harness reached 1.54 million daily official API users less than three months after launch, up from a seven-day average of 271K on September 30. These users burn roughly 92 trillion tokens per day, about 60 million each, an early public signal that long-running agent tasks consume far more compute than chatbots. Harness treats everything as a plugin, with about 35,000 user-built plugins so far, and DeepSeek plans an official plugin marketplace plus a creator program.
