Differences Between Experts, Expert Teams and Skills
WorkBuddy itself is a general Agent that accepts any task. However, general does not mean every domain should be handled the same way.
For instance, when analyzing sales data, a general Agent reads data, draws charts, and summarizes trends. A data analysis expert, however, understands business goals first, defines key metrics, checks data quality, identifies anomalies, analyzes causes, and delivers actionable business advice. When drafting social media posts, a general Agent focuses on text. A social media expert also considers topics, click-through hooks, retention rates, platform ecosystems, and interactive layouts.
An Expert is a role-switching mechanism that enables WorkBuddy to act as a domain specialist using personas, methodologies, and toolchains.
Standard WorkBuddy = General AI Assistant
Expert Agent = AI Coworker with specific role and professional experienceAn Expert Team is a collaborative execution mechanism. A team is composed of multiple experts. The team leader automatically decomposes tasks, delegates work, runs executions in parallel, and merges outputs. Users only define the background, requirements, and expected deliverables to the team leader; there is no need to manually select team members or break down tasks.
| Mode | Essence | Suitable Scenario |
|---|---|---|
| General Task | General understanding & execution | One-off, clear requests |
| Skill | Specific tool capability | Stable execution of a specific action |
| Expert | Persona + Methodology + Toolchain | Single professional domain issue |
| Expert Team | Multi-expert collaboration workflow | Complex projects requiring decomposition and synthesis |
