Synaptics Launches Astra SR200 MCU with Google Coral NPU and High-Bandwidth DRAM
Synaptics has launched the Astra SR200 series MCUs, integrating Google's Coral NPU and high-bandwidth custom DRAM to enable multimodal edge AI on microcontroller-class hardware. With up to 400 GOPS of compute power, the chip targets next-gen wearables, industrial vision, and battery-powered sensors requiring larger on-device models.

10 月 21 日消息，边缘 AI 芯片企业 Synaptics（新突思）美国当地时间 20 日宣布推出 Astra SR200 系列 xMCU。这批产品在常规微控制器的基础上提供了可运行多模态边缘 AI 的能力。
Astra SR200 系列采用异构 AI 原生计算与加速架构，搭载 Synaptics Torq AI 引擎，内置 Google Research 的 Coral NPU，集成容量可扩展至数百 MB 的高带宽定制 DRAM，可在设备端运行更大规模的 AI 模型和更丰富的多模态工作负载。
Astra SR200 系列首次在业界采用 Arm Cortex-M85 与 Cortex-M52 的 CPU IP 组合，提供至多 400 GOPS 的 AI 算力，面向下一代 AI 可穿戴设备、电池供电传感设备、联网摄像头、流媒体设备、工业视觉和语音系统。
Synaptics 还基于系列中 AI 算力最高的 Astra SR250 打造了 Coralboard SR 开发板，提供 microSD、NOR、MIPI-CSI / DSI、USB、Wi-Fi、蓝牙等支持。
