By segment, pure-play foundries saw revenue grow 29% YoY to 12.6 billion; while photomasks and other categories grew 6% YoY.
TSMC alone contributed 42% of total Foundry 2.0 revenue with $40.2 billion; its revenue grew 34% YoY and 12% QoQ. The firm projects TSMC’s full-year revenue growth will reach approximately 43%. Pure-play foundries excluding TSMC saw revenue grow 18% YoY, with SMIC leading at a 36% increase. Intel Foundry Services (IFS) revenue grew 31% YoY.
The firm forecasts that over the next five years, more than 130 million GPUs and AI ASICs will ship with compute-side memory utilizing advanced packaging technologies, generating nearly $2 trillion in compute-related revenue. TSMC’s CoWoS supply-demand gap is expected to remain around 20% this year, narrowing to 10% by 2027.
